Dell Inspiron N5010 Overheat Problems

Questions:
its been 4 months i bought Dell inspiron N5110 everything is working fine..but recently i'm having some heating problem.
1. Can anybody tell me how many fans are their in Dell inspiron N5110(with graphic card)?
2. Does environment temperature affect the laptop's temperature?

Answers:
The Inspiron N5110 has just one fan on the motherboard. Yes environment temperature does affect the laptops temperature. Thing you can try is clearing any dust from the air vents using a vacum. Try updating your Bios using the below link.

You can also try running a diagnostics on your computer. Press the F12 key at the Dell Logo, select diagnostics and run an extended diagnostics on your computer. You can also run custom tests on selected devices like your fan to check if they are functioning properly. Post back with any error codes.

  1. For Dell laptops, I would recommend not to place the one on a bed as it will obstruct the fan from running properly and ventilating the heat. Always place a laptop on a flat surface or laptop stand to make sure the fan can run properly, ventilating heat and cooling it down.I would recommend taking professional help of Dell computer repair service.
